I left it till the camera shop had run out of filters, so I couldn't take a good shot of the eclipse, but I did manage this over-exposed one using a 2x converter on my 200mm and stopping it down to effectively f/64 (hello diffraction effects!) at 1/8000s. I'm gonna get a filter anyway just to see if I can capture some sunspots...
